How to Become a Successful Visual Content Creator

1. How did your career as a visual content creator start?

I was on Instagram for few years when I finally found my personal style and the best way to express who I am through my photos and words. In the meantime, I studied photography. My interior design degree also helped me a lot in my Instagram creativity.

Then people and brands started to contact me through @bellalovesbeau, asking me if I could help them build a beautiful Instagram feed like mine and grow their business. I love challenges, and since it was a creative one, I said yes.

That’s how I found my dream job! 🙂

2. Tell us more about Bella and Beau: how did you decide to make an account centered around them?

Bella and Beau are the biggest inspiration in my life.

They changed my life in ways words can’t describe. Above all, they helped in my personal journey to positivity. I decided to share the lessons that life and my dogs teach me every day through their photos, so people could find some extra inspiration when they need it the most. Nothing makes me happier than reading comments like “It was exactly what I needed to see [or read] today.”

If I changed my mindset everyone can. And there isn’t a better way to spread positivity than through two adorable and funny French bulldogs. 🙂

3. What’s your main source of inspiration?

My main source of inspiration is life and, of course, my dogs.

Reading books also helps a lot when my inspiration “sleeps.” Not all days are the same. There are some days that I feel like I’m done — like I won’t be able to create beautiful photos again. I wake up the next day and many ideas cross my mind.

I realize that inspiration comes and goes. It always comes and finds you again.

4. What does a day in your life look like?

My day always starts with a long walk with Bella and Beau. Then, If I don’t have an outdoor photo shoot scheduled, I work from home.

Working from home gives me the opportunity to spend more time with Bella and Beau, and this is the part of my job I love the most. As much as working from home sounds an ideal situation, sometimes it’s hard to keep the balance between life and work. Content creator can be an “always on” job, so that’s why I created my own rules for myself to help me maintain a healthy and happy life.

Between content creation, research, editing, writing and answering emails, I make sure I have some time during the day to exercise and do some things I truly love — like healthy cooking or meeting my friends.

5. What are the top three things you can’t live without?

Bella, Beau and my camera. 🙂

6. What is, in your opinion, the road to success in the online world?

The road to success, in my opinion, is to seek improvement, not perfection, and to find your own voice. Also, the same things are important in life.

Also, these three words: trust, honesty and commitment.

After adopting Bella for the first time after years it was like this whole I had in me was healing. Everything seemed to be going great until I noticed that day by day my back pain was getting worse. Two months later I couldn’t even walk properly. While visiting several doctors and undergoing countless tests for almost a year the pain was getting even worse but NO-ONE had an answer. I decided to visit one last doctor. He was very clear. The pain was in my mind. (If only I knew back then how wrong he was!) I remember living the hospital devastated. I cried … I cried a lot. My only escape from this nightmare was Bella & this amazing community @instagram . I really really wanted a second dog, not just for my Bella but also for me as I was sure I’ll spend more time at home . So Beau came in my life!! ?His positive energy was clear from the very beginning. Something magical happened between him and me for the very first moment.✨ Watching Beau how he lived every single moment no matter what , made me change my view about the pain issue. No, I couldn’t accept that the pain was in my mind. I started to search online about my symptoms … back pain, eyes pain, foot pain etc .. and then for the first time in my life I read about #autoimmunedisease. I did some research & I found a great specialized medical team and finally after almost 2,5 years in the darkness I had an answer. #AnkylosingSpondylitis . I felt such a relief … I was happy. I wasn’t crazy… there was a reason for all the sleepless nights I had, for all the tears. I felt hope for the first time after years. And here I am , stronger than ever , almost 2 years after diagnosis, ready to share my story because I want to raise awareness about it so that, as symptoms occur, people can seek a diagnosis and begin a treatment on time. I followed an alternative treatment to heal my body with great success. My health made a drastic change as I began to change my mind, my attitude, my lifestyle and my nutrition. 7. Who takes most of your photos?

Most of my photos are taken by me.

8. Can you name a few of your most successful projects?

I am very proud of my collaboration with @bulloveandfriends. With them, I designed a collection of pet clothes, #bullovemeetsbellalovesbeau, for a good cause. A portion of the proceeds are donated to rescues around the world. It was a dream come true.

Another successful project is that I create content for one of the best Greek fashion designers, @konidi. I’m also proud for the work I do for a famous Greek woman, @nikikartsona.

I’m looking forward to more projects like these soon!

9. What’s your secret to keeping your audience engaged?

I don’t think there’s any secret. If you stay true to yourself and to your online friends, everything else will follow.

Online life is very similar to offline life. Love is the only way to be happy online and offline. Spending time with your friends is very important even online.

One day it just clicks… you realize what’s important and what isn’t. You learn to care less about what other people think of you and more about what you think of yourself. You realize how far you’ve come and you remember when you thought things were such a mess that would never recover. And you SMILE. You smile because you are truly proud of yourself and the person you’ve fought to become.-unknown #storyofmylife ? . 10. How does Plann make things easier for you? What do you use the app for?

I love Plann! It saves me so much time!

I use Plann in order to design my feed and my posts. I like the fact that I can even save my captions and hashtags. I also like the new feature where I can search for the best hashtags inside the app and the new frames you added a while ago. Also, I love reading the growth tips… and the filters which are included in the app, they are amazing!
